Rails on Windows update
Just a quick note to let you know that I have been working on my book for O’Reilly lately and we are making really good progress. I’ve learned a lot about the publishing process in the last few months. One thing I’ve learned is that if you’re trying to write a book with a day job and a family, you’d better learn to stay up late or start getting up earlier. My strategy is to work longer days at my day job so I can have every other Friday off.
That certainly sounds like a lot of fun. So the take home message would be: “Don’t write a book, unless writing is your full time job (which usually is a fancy way of saying unemployed or deadbeat).”
Exactly! I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately. Balancing everything can be quite tricky.
