Non-IE Browser Flaw allows people to spoof domains

February 8, 2005 by Brian in Security, Tech

Support for internationalization of domain names has allowed for hackers to figure out a way to spoof domain names. None of the browser manufacturers know how to fix this quite yet because it’s a flaw in the standards. One guy has fixed Firefox though, and I urge you to apply it, especially on any computers you’ve put Firefox on, like your friends or parents’ computers.

Download the fix for Firefox which also contains links to examples and more information.
