‘Tis the Season for Stolen Credit
It happened to me… someone used my credit card number. I still don’t know how it happened… but I noticed a disturbing authorization request on my statement when I went online to pay my bill today. It was a place in New Jersey, a place I had supposedly shopped at on the 23rd. Thankfully, it was only an authorization and the anti-fraud agent was able to close my account and set me up with a new card. I hardly ever use my credit card, but just to be even safer, I’m going to use those temporary numbers they provide for internet shopping.
